Description

Tender beef slow cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, perfect over rice.


Ingredients

  • Flank steak, thinly sliced

  • Soy sauce

  • Brown sugar

  • Garlic

  • Fresh ginger

  • Water or low-sodium broth

  • Cornstarch (optional)

  • Green onions (optional)


Instructions

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain.

  • Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and water.

  • Add beef and sauce to slow cooker.

  • Cook on LOW for about 3 hours.

  • Optional: Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook on HIGH 15–30 minutes.

 

  • Serve hot over rice.

Notes

Add vegetables in the last hour if desired.

Use gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
