Description

Flaky puff pastry filled with sweet cream cheese and fresh strawberries, finished with a light glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon milk or water

  • ¼ cup strawberry jam (optional)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

  • 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Toss strawberries with sugar and cornstarch.

  • Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Cut puff pastry into rectangles and score borders.

  • Fill centers with cream cheese and strawberries.

  • Brush edges with egg wash.

  • Bake until golden and puffed.

 

  • Cool slightly and glaze if desired.

Notes

Best served warm or the same day.

Reheat in the oven for crisp pastry.
