Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil.

  • Coat chicken thighs with olive oil and all seasonings.

  • Stir BBQ sauce and brown sugar together.

  • Place chicken on the baking sheet and brush with half the sauce.

  • Bake 20 minutes.

  • Brush with remaining sauce and bake 10–15 minutes more.

  • Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Add honey for extra sweetness.

Bone-in thighs work with a longer cook time.

Low-sugar BBQ sauces still caramelize nicely.

Storage

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
