Description

Tender, buttery scones filled with fresh strawberries and bright lemon flavor, drizzled with a simple lemon glaze.


Ingredients

  • Flour

  • Sugar

  • Baking powder

  • Salt

  • Lemon zest

  • Cold unsalted butter

  • Egg

  • Heavy cream

  • Sour cream

  • Lemon juice

  • Vanilla extract

  • Chopped fresh strawberries

Glaze:

  • Powdered sugar

  • Lemon juice

  • Lemon zest (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare baking pan.

  • Mix dry ingredients and cut in cold butter.

  • Whisk wet ingredients separately.

  • Combine mixtures gently and fold in strawberries.

  • Shape into a circle, cut into wedges, and bake 15–16 minutes.

 

  • Mix glaze and drizzle over warm scones.

Notes

Keep ingredients cold for the best texture.

Blot strawberries dry if very juicy.

Avoid overmixing.
